Valentine 2013 // Wet n Wild Giveaway Winners

Behold, the belated post of my Valentine's day dinner date at Scusa, a comfy, modern-stylish Italian restaurant located just inside Intercontinental Hotel, Jakarta. :)

\\ THE MENU \\

The menu was placed under this round glass, made a nice decor and also cleverly served as a placemat.

\\ THE FOOD \\

↑ Sweet Water Prawn Cocktail with preserved lemon ↑

↑ Lobster Bisque clams, langoustine and spinach tortellini ↑

↑ Sole Fillet zucchini and herb flan, tomato-basil chutney and saffron reduction ↑

↑ Wagyu Beef Tenderloin Parmesan potato cake and truffled veal jus ↑

↑ Chocolate Cake fresh cream, marinated strawberries and vanilla-almond ice cream ↑

\\ THE PLACE \\

The whole dinner experience was nice, the food was pretty in presentation but average in taste. The appetizers - Prawn Cocktail, Lobster Bisque and Sole Fillet were great, but we expected more for the main entry and dessert, which I thought weren't very good.

The ambience was casually romantic, the whole place was dimly lit, each table was presented with a pretty red rose for the lady and decorated with rose petals and a candle. A Jazz duo performing live on stage and romantic music would fill in whenever the musicians took a break or two.

Oh, and because it was Valentine's Day, the place was packed, I mean, REALLY packed with young couples dressing up and sitting across from each other, eating and throwing awkward conversations lol. So, if you are looking for a more private place, this might not be it. But if you're looking for a more casual-yet-you-can-still-dress-up fine dining moment, you know where to call:

World’s First Jeffrey Campbell Boutique Opens in Harajuku, Tokyo

Yes, it is the world’s very first stand-alone Jeffrey Campbell boutique!

Located on the third floor of the famous LaForet Harajuku department store in the center of Tokyo’s youth fashion district. The store, which opened on February 23, 2013, features a wide selection of the designs that made the brand famous – including Litas, boots, sneakers, pumps, and platforms, lots of platforms!

Designs from the Jeffrey Campbell 2013 Spring/Summer collection are currently for sale, with new items to be rolled out with each season. The Jeffrey Campbell men’s footwear collection can also be found here, which is not as widely available as the women’s line.

In the center of the store hangs a cool chandelier made of Jeffrey Campbell shoes and stuffed animals.

ANDDD the highlight of the Jeffrey Campbell Harajuku grand opening was the unveiling of several limited edition ALL-GOLD Jeffrey Campbell styles exclusive to the Harajuku store:

The last quote is one of the quotes that stays on my mind. I first read it from "The Secret"; the book basically says that everything that happens to us is the result of what we have thought. Think positive and we will attract positivity into our lives.

But how can we think positive thoughts when we are down? Well, the book suggests us to SMILE.

When we smile, our brain will automatically think of the good memories, like it can 'activate' happy centres in the brain– and thus will make us feel happy. Force it and try to hold it for one minute or so, I always do it when I'm upset and it works like magic! :)

I hope you get what I'm trying to say hehee... If you don't, I strongly recommend you to read the book (The Secret). It will change your whole life in a good way.
